International CFS & Fibromyalgia Awareness Day

May12th is here yet again and brings with it another opportunity to raise awareness about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.

Why today? Florence Nightingale was the founder of modern nursing and influential in many other parts of history. However, few know that she was bedbound or housebound for years with an illness thought to be CFS. May 12th marks her birthday and so we observe awareness day on this day each year.

It took me over a decade to have the confidence to share my diagnosis with others. Have the courage to tell the world about YOUR invisible illness. Help us spread the message by sharing on social media or blogging your story. Together we can change the face of CFS & FM.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” - Margaret Mead
